Below are listed the most important events of the Save Rosia Montana campaign that happened in 2007 and 2008.

29 February 2008 - 17 environmental NGOs signed a letter addressed to Romania’s Environment Minister Attila Korodi and State Secretary Silviu Stoica,
occasioned by the fact that Rosia Montana Gold Corporation (RMGC) initiated a court action against the decision to suspend the Rosia Montana Project’s EIA procedure.

29 February 2008 – Alburnus Maior released an updated Risk Analysis Report on RMGC’s  plans to develop an open cast mine in Rosia Montana.

12 February 2008  -  Daciana Sarbu MEP supports Minister for the Environment and Greenpeace regarding RMGC's court action against the suspension of
the Rosia Montana EIA procedure.

23 January 2008  -  Alba Iulia’s Court of Appeal declares that Rosia Montana’s Urbanistic Plans are illegal!

27 November 2007 – Landmark judgment in cultural heritage protection case; The Brasov Court of Appeal annulled the so-called archaeological discharge Certificate No.4/2004 over Rosia Montana’s Carnic Massif.

23 November 2007 – Lord Anthony Giddens declared on Rosia Montana in an interview published in Ziua:  'I hope the environmentalists win on this particular question.'
 
11 November 2007 – The Cluj Tribunal has taken the definitive decision to annul Urbanistic Certificate No. 78/ 26.04.2006 granted by the Alba County Council to Rosia Montana Gold Corporation (RMGC) to continue the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure.

13 September 2007 - The Hungarian Ministry for the Environment welcomes the suspension of the EIA procedure.

13 September 2007 – The licencing procedure for the Rosia Montana project is stopped for an unlimited period.

4 September 2007 - The Alba-Iulia Court of Appeal has suspended archaeological discharge certificate No.5/2004 issued by Romania’s ministry for Culture and the Cults over the ‘Alburnus Maior – Rosia Montana’ site.

22 August 2007 - From 24-26 August 2007 people from Romania and beyond who are interested in environmental protection gathered at Rosia Montana’s Jig-Văidoia plateau for the Romania’s most significant environmental festival. The slogan for this years’ event, the forth of its kind, is ‚Go Green! Have Attitude!’

20 June 2007 - During the TV show ‘Intre bine si rau’, Romanian Government for the first time admitted that the mine proposal at Rosia Montana it’s not in the public interest and as such no expropriation can take place.

27 February 2007 - Greenpeace together with representatives of Alburnus Maior protested this morning in front of the Slovakian office (BCR) of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) against the potential involvement of UNDP in Europe's biggest gold mining project.
