Change is possible and the No Dirty Gold Campaign for example has already convinced various companies and jewelry shops to ensure that the gold they sell is either recycled or comes from sustainable sources. Here in Romania pressure from individuals and civil society organizations has over the many years ensured that to date the Rosia Montana mine has not been developed; this although Gabriel Resources had set its first gold pour for 2004. All it takes are a few determined people and we hope that this campaign will inspire you to take action; so that together we will succeed in preventing Rosia Montana from being turned into Europe's largest open cast cyanide goldmine.
